Terry Gold

Terry co-founded Gold Systems, a Boulder, Colorado communications and speech recognition software company in 1991. The company boot-strapped for the first 9 years and raised venture capital in 2000. Gold Systems delivered products world-wide to global companies that used the software to service billions of telephone calls and web interactions.

He was a founding member of the Colorado chapter of the Young Entrepreneurs Organization and he is a former member of the Young Presidents’ Organization. In 2000 he and his co-founder were recognized with the “Esprit Entrepreneur of Distinction” award, and in 2003 Terry was recognized as a finalist at the Rocky Mountain Ernst and Young Entrepreneur of the Year Awards.

Terry was on the board of the Boulder Technology Incubator and has served as a mentor for Techstars Boulder. He is currently a mentor for a technology accelerator in Australia, and he has served as a mentor and advisor informally to many entrepreneurs. He is an ultra runner and musician, and serves on the Board of Trustees for the International Bluegrass Music Museum.
